Gogo Inc. (NASDAQ: GOGO) appointed General (Ret.) Mike Minihan to its board of directors, effective July 2, 2025. The appointment expands the board from eight to nine directors.

Minihan previously served as Commander of the US Air Mobility Command, where he led more than 110,000 Airmen and a fleet of 1,100 aircraft. During his 34-year military career, he also served as Deputy Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, overseeing operations across more than 40 nations.

The appointment follows Gogo's acquisition of Satcom Direct and entry into the military and government market. "General Minihan's appointment marks a pivotal moment for Gogo following our acquisition of Satcom Direct and entry into the military and government market," said Oakleigh Thorne according to the company's press release.

The retired four-star general is a command pilot with over 3,400 flying hours in airlift and tanker aircraft. He currently serves on multiple boards including Reliable Robotics Corporation, Beta Technologies Inc., and others, while also working as a Senior Principal at Pallas Advisors.

Minihan chairs the Candy Bomber Foundation, a nonprofit focused on inspiring youth to pursue STEM, aviation, and humanitarian service paths. He launched the Air Mobility Command's "25 in 25" satellite communications initiative during his tenure.

Gogo provides multi-orbit, multi-band in-flight connectivity services for business and military aviation. The company combines Air-to-Ground technology with satellite networks to deliver global connectivity solutions.
