Essent Group adds Martin Connor to board of directors

Essent Group Ltd. (NYSE: ESNT) announced that Martin P. Connor has joined its board of directors, according to a company statement.

Connor brings extensive experience in real estate and finance to the mortgage insurance company. He has worked at Toll Brothers, Inc., a national homebuilder, since 2008 and currently serves as a senior advisor. From 2010 to 2025, Connor held the position of chief financial officer at Toll Brothers, and previously served as vice president and assistant chief financial officer.

Before joining Toll Brothers, Connor founded and served as president of Marcon Advisors LLC, a finance and accounting consulting firm, for six months in 2008. From 2006 to 2008, he was chief financial officer and director of operations at O'Neill Properties, a commercial real estate developer in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Connor spent more than 20 years at Ernst & Young LLP, where he ultimately became an audit and advisory business services partner responsible for the firm's real estate practice in Philadelphia. He currently serves as a director of Univest Financial Corporation, a banking and financial services provider operating primarily in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Connor holds a bachelor's degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and is a certified public accountant. Essent Group is a Bermuda-based holding company that provides private mortgage insurance, reinsurance, and title insurance services to the housing finance industry.
