Dave names Meta engineering VP to board of directors

Dave Inc. (NASDAQ: DAVE) appointed Nima Khajehnouri to its board of directors, effective immediately, according to a company statement. Khajehnouri will serve on the audit committee.
Khajehnouri currently serves as vice president of engineering at Meta and previously held similar roles at Google and Snap. He has more than 20 years of experience in engineering leadership at technology companies. Imran Khan, who joined Dave's board in August 2023, stepped down in conjunction with the appointment.
The neobank also announced leadership changes within its board structure. Mike Pope, a board member since 2022, was named lead independent director, replacing Brendan Carroll who remains on the board. Andrea Mitchell, also a board member since 2022, was appointed chair of the nominating and corporate governance committee, succeeding Pope who will continue as a committee member.
At Meta, Khajehnouri has served as vice president of engineering since May 2025. He previously held the same title at Google from January 2024 to May 2025, where he led the AI data engineering team. Before that, he spent eight years as vice president of engineering at Snap from 2015 to December 2023.
Khajehnouri earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology and a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from UCLA. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in computer science at UCLA's Complex Networks Lab.
Dave operates as a digital banking platform serving customers across the United States. The company trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol DAVE.
