DIH appoints Barrett Mooney to board of directors
DIH Holding US, Inc. (NASDAQ: DHAI) announced the appointment of Barrett Mooney, Ph.D. to its Board of Directors. The company develops robotic devices for rehabilitation that incorporate visual stimulation for patients with walking impairments, balance issues, and impaired arm and hand functions.
Mooney brings experience in growing manufacturing and technology businesses. He currently provides strategic advisory services to high-technology companies focused on complex manufacturing and supply chain operations. Previously, he served as CEO and Chairman of a NYSE American-listed aerospace and defense company, leading the organization through acquisitions and its transition from private to public trading.
Mooney co-founded HydroBio Inc., a software company using satellite-driven image analytics for water conservation and crop yield optimization. He sold the company to The Climate Corporation in May 2017. At The Climate Corporation, a Monsanto subsidiary acquired by Bayer, he led teams developing artificial intelligence solutions for crop yield enhancement and seed sales efficiency.
The executive also led international deployment of AI decision support tools at CropIn Technology Solutions and has served as an advisor to venture capital firms. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Florida.
"Barrett brings exceptional operational expertise and extensive experience in scaling complex manufacturing and technology businesses," said CEO Jason Chen in a company statement.
Mooney stated he looks forward to supporting the company's rehabilitation technology mission and working with management on continued innovation.
