Charter Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) announced that director David C. Merritt will retire from the company's board of directors effective January 26, 2026.
Merritt informed the board of his intention to retire on December 11, 2025, according to a company statement. The telecommunications company specified that Merritt's resignation is not the result of any dispute or disagreement with Charter regarding its operations, policies or practices.
The departure will reduce Charter's board composition by one member when it takes effect next month. Charter did not indicate whether it plans to appoint a replacement director or specify Merritt's tenure length on the board.
