Carronade Capital announced that two of its nominees, Mona Aboelnaga and Chérie Schaible, were elected to Cannae Holdings Inc.'s (NYSE: CNNE) board of directors at the company's 2025 annual meeting. The preliminary voting results showed that Carronade's nominees received more votes than Cannae's two elected nominees.
Carronade Capital, which owns approximately 3.2 million shares of Cannae common stock, stated that the election represents shareholder desire for change at the company. The investment firm noted that shareholders also rejected Cannae's "Say on Pay" proposal during the meeting.
The newly elected directors are prepared to work with existing board members and management on corporate governance improvements and capital allocation priorities, according to Carronade's statement. The firm said Cannae has committed to address issues including increasing capital returns to shareholders, de-staggering the board, and portfolio reallocation.
Carronade Capital Management is a multi-strategy investment firm based in Darien, Connecticut, with approximately $2.7 billion in assets under management. The firm was founded in 2019 by Dan Gropper and launched operations in July 2020.
Final voting results from Cannae's annual meeting will be published once certified by the company's inspector of elections. The information is based on a press release statement from Carronade Capital.
