Canadian Goldfields appoints Chris Kinver to board of directors
Canadian Goldfields Discovery Corp. (TSXV: CGM) (OTCQB: CGMXF) announced the appointment of Chris Kinver to its board of directors, according to a company statement.
Kinver brings over 20 years of mining industry experience in senior management roles across underground operations and mine development. He currently serves as Vice President, Projects and Engineering at K92 Mining Inc., where he previously held positions including Project Director for the Kora Expansion and Mine Manager.
Prior to K92, Kinver served as Project Manager for OceanaGold Corporation's Didipio Underground Mine in the Philippines for approximately three years, leading the transition from an open pit mine to a 1.6 Mtpa long-hole stoping underground operation. His earlier experience includes Underground Mine Manager positions with BHP Billiton at the Perseverance Nickel Mine and with Barrick Gold Corporation at the Plutonic Gold Mine in Western Australia.
The company also announced the formation of an Advisory Board with the appointments of James Burns, Mike Hofer and Mick Carew. Burns has experience as a private equity investor and former CEO of a publicly traded Alberta-based company. Hofer is an environmental professional and principal of Headlands Environmental. Carew holds a PhD in geology with over 25 years in the mining sector.
Canadian Goldfields adopted a fixed securities base compensation plan and granted 9,350,000 stock options exercisable at $0.45 per share for five years, along with 7,925,000 restricted share units to directors, advisors and consultants. The restricted share units are subject to shareholder approval at the company's annual general meeting.
The company entered into an investor relations agreement with Conrad Orzel for services from March 11, 2026 to September 11, 2026, paying $3,000 per month and granting 50,000 stock options at $0.45 per share.
