Commercial Vehicle Group (NASDAQ: CVGI) appointed Ari Levy as an independent director to its board, the company announced. Levy represents Lakeview Investment Group, which owns approximately 8.9% of CVG's outstanding shares.

The board expanded to seven members with Levy's addition. He will serve on the Nominating, Governance and Sustainability, and Audit Committees.

Levy founded and serves as President and Chief Investment Officer of Lakeview Investment Group, a Chicago-based investment manager focused on public markets. He previously served as President of Levy Acquisition Corp, a NASDAQ-listed acquisition vehicle, and later joined the board of Del Taco until Jack in the Box acquired it in early 2022. Levy holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Stanford University.

"We are excited to welcome Ari to the Board," said William Johnson, Chair of the Board of Directors. "His background and experience as a founder, operator, and investor will be valuable assets as we look to drive long-term value creation."

Levy will stand for re-election at CVG's 2026 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. The company and Lakeview entered into a support agreement containing customary standstill provisions in connection with the appointment.

CVG provides systems, assemblies and components to the global commercial vehicle market and electric vehicle market.
