CONMED Corporation (NYSE: CNMD) announced that Martha Aronson will resign from its board of directors effective July 7, 2025, to become president and chief executive officer of Merit Medical Systems.
Aronson joined the CONMED board in February 2016 and previously served as chair of the board. Merit Medical is described as a global company that develops, manufactures and distributes medical devices.
"We are sincerely grateful to Martha for her years of dedicated service to CONMED," said Pat Beyer, president and chief executive officer of CONMED. "Her guidance and expertise have been invaluable to our Board and to me personally as I stepped into the CEO role."
LaVerne Council, chair of the CONMED board, said Aronson's "strategic insight and unwavering commitment to excellence have helped shape the company's direction and success."
CONMED provides medical devices and equipment for surgical procedures across specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, thoracic surgery, and gastroenterology.
