BioSig Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: BSGM) announced the appointment of Russell Starr as strategic advisor to its Streamex Exchange Corporation subsidiary. Starr previously served as CEO of DeFi Technologies, a publicly traded decentralized finance company.

During his tenure at DeFi Technologies, Starr led the company's stock price growth from $0.07 to $4.95 per share and helped achieve over $200 million in annual revenue. He later served as Head of Capital Markets and assisted with the company's Nasdaq listing.

Starr brings experience in capital markets, business development, and deal-making across traditional finance and emerging sectors. His background includes roles across public and private companies with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and strategic partnerships.

"Russell's experience in capital markets, natural resources, and decentralized finance make him an exceptional addition to the Streamex advisory team," said Henry McPhie, CEO of BioSig and Co-Founder of Streamex.

Streamex operates as a gold treasury and infrastructure company focused on tokenizing real-world assets. The company develops platforms for token issuance, trading infrastructure, and physical gold holdings, positioning itself to hold significant quantities of physical gold on its balance sheet.

Starr joins other strategic advisors at Streamex including Frank Giustra, founder of Wheaton Precious Metals and GoldCorp; Sean Roosen, founder and CEO of Osisko Development Corp.; and Mathew August, Executive Chairman of Atlas Capital Partners.

The appointment follows BioSig's recent merger with Streamex Exchange Corporation. Streamex is developing blockchain-based infrastructure for commodity markets, with plans to denominate its balance sheet primarily in vaulted gold rather than fiat currency.
