Battery X Metals adds auto industry advisor to board

Battery X Metals Inc. (CSE:BATX)(OTCQB: BATXF)(FSE:5YW0) appointed Zachary Funk to its advisory board, according to a company statement. Funk works in a regional sales and operations role with the Canadian division of a premium automobile manufacturer based in Munich, Germany.

Funk oversees operational performance of 13 management teams across Canada in his current position. He previously held dual brand management roles at GAIN Group, which operates more than 20 automotive businesses across Vancouver Island and British Columbia's Lower Mainland.

The company develops lithium-ion battery rebalancing technology designed to extend electric vehicle battery life. Battery X Metals said its patent-pending system has demonstrated capacity recovery in multiple trials on commercial and light-duty electric vehicles.

In testing disclosed by the company, the rebalancing machine restored a degraded battery pack from approximately 40 kilometers to an estimated 295 kilometers range under no-load conditions. Additional trials showed range improvements of up to 84 kilometers per charge across BYD vehicle models.

The technology addresses cell-level imbalances that degrade battery performance over time. Battery X Metals estimates nearly 40 million electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid vehicles worldwide will fall outside original warranty coverage by 2031.

"His experience within one of the world's leading premium automobile manufacturers' Canadian division and prior experience with premium automotive dealership groups is expected to provide an exceptional understanding of dealer networks," said CEO Massimo Bellini Bressi.

The Vancouver-based company continues developing adaptor solutions for Tesla Model 3 battery platforms and advancing preparation for Underwriters Laboratories certification of its rebalancing system.
