WISeKey International Holding Ltd (NASDAQ: WKEY) announced its subsidiary WISeSat.Space signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Kaynes Technology India Limited's satellite subsidiary Kaynes Space Technology Private Limited (KSTPL) to manufacture post-quantum-secure WISeSat satellites in India.
The partnership will establish India as an official satellite launch location for WISeKey, adding to its current launch operations in the United States. KSTPL will manufacture next-generation WISeSats in India, integrating SEALSQ Corp's (NASDAQ: LAES) post-quantum cryptographic semiconductor technology and WISeKey's Root of Trust into each satellite.
WISeSat and SEALSQ plan to launch their next-generation post-quantum-hardened secure satellite in 2026. The upgraded WISeSat platform will serve as a testbed for post-quantum communication protocols from space, according to the company's press release.
KSTPL was incorporated in June 2025 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaynes Technology. The company was established to design, build, and launch satellites of various sizes and payloads, focusing on cost-effective space technologies for communication, defense, and Earth observation.
"By working with KSTPL, we are bringing together India's manufacturing excellence and space ambition with our post-quantum security and satellite technology," said Carlos Creus Moreira, Founder and CEO of WISeKey.
WISeKey operates as a Swiss-based holding company through several operational subsidiaries, including SEALSQ Corp, which focuses on semiconductors and post-quantum technology products, and WISeSat AG, which specializes in space technology for secure satellite communication.
