Voyager selects Vivace to manufacture Starlab space station structure

Voyager Technologies Inc. (NYSE: VOYG) announced that Vivace Corporation has been selected to manufacture the primary structure for Starlab, a commercial space station intended to replace the International Space Station.

Vivace will collaborate with Starlab Space LLC and international partners to finalize the design and begin manufacturing the structure. The company will work from NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in Louisiana.

Starlab is part of NASA's Commercial LEO Destination program and has received more than $217.5 million in NASA funding. The program has completed 27 development milestones, according to the press release.

"Starlab offers unmatched capability amongst NASA's Commercial LEO Destination concepts and fine tunes the American workforce to realize a start-of-the-art orbiting marketplace to build on our strategic leadership in space," said Dylan Taylor, chairman and CEO of Voyager Technologies.

Starlab Space is a joint venture among Voyager Technologies, Airbus, Mitsubishi Corporation, MDA Space and Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR). Strategic partners include Hilton, Northrop Grumman and The Ohio State University.

The station is designed to serve government and commercial customers for research, technology demonstrations and materials development. Voyager holds the majority stake in Starlab Space LLC.

Vivace, founded in 2006, provides engineering and manufacturing services for spaceflight systems, hypersonics and launch vehicles. The company develops flight hardware, ground support equipment and engineering services.
