Volatus Aerospace wins CAD $9 million defense contract from NATO partner

Volatus Aerospace Inc. (TSXV: FLT) announced it received a defense contract worth up to CAD $9 million to supply a training system for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance operations to an allied defense organization.



The two-year contract includes an initial tranche of approximately $4.5 million scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026. A second tranche may be exercised through the end of 2027 at the customer's option. The identity of the end-user and specific system configurations remain confidential under the agreement terms.



The contract addresses an urgent requirement from a NATO partner seeking to accelerate unmanned aviation skills training across its defense personnel, according to the company's press release statement.



"This contract demonstrates the trust international partners are placing in Canadian innovation and showcases Volatus' ability to deliver scalable, defense-grade solutions that strengthen allied preparedness," said Glen Lynch, CEO of Volatus Aerospace Inc.



Under the agreement, Volatus will supply a fleet of unmanned aircraft training systems for introductory ISR skill development, integrated control interfaces for flight and sensor-operation training, technical documentation, onsite instructor familiarization, and warranty support aligned with defense procurement standards.



The Montreal-based company provides integrated aerial solutions for commercial and defense applications using both piloted and remotely piloted aircraft systems. Volatus serves industries including oil and gas, utilities, healthcare, and public safety.



The company trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol FLT, on the OTCQB under TAKOF, and on the Frankfurt exchange under A3DP5Y/ABB.F.
