Vodafone Group PLC (NASDAQ: VOD) and Kaltura (NASDAQ: KLTR) announced an extension of their partnership for the Kaltura-powered Vodafone TV solution, according to a press release statement.
The companies have collaborated for over 10 years on the VTV platform, which launched in 2014 and currently serves several million subscribers across eight markets. The service has supported Vodafone's transition from traditional on-premises IPTV services to cloud-native over-the-top services.
Under the extended agreement, the companies plan to enhance current solution capabilities and expand subscriber reach to potentially additional markets. The partnership will explore deployment of AI-infused Kaltura products aimed at increasing user engagement, interactivity, personalization, monetization and operational efficiency.
"We partnered with Kaltura over ten years ago due to its innovative vision, and together we've built, and deployed to millions of subscribers across multiple countries, a market leading Cloud TV platform that combines the best of OTT and Pay-TV into a scalable service," said Alberto Ripepi, Group Chief Network Officer at Vodafone.
Ron Yekutiel, Co-founder, Chairman, President, and CEO of Kaltura, stated: "We are very excited to extend and deepen our partnership, as well as about the prospect of deploying new AI-infused offerings that would supercharge customer engagement, interactivity, and personalization, and boost monetization and operational efficiency."
Vodafone operates networks in 15 countries and serves over 340 million mobile and broadband customers. Kaltura provides AI-infused video experience cloud services including enterprise and TV content management platforms.
