Universal Music Group repurchases 231,142 shares for €3.89 million
Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) repurchased 231,142 of its own shares between April 1 and April 2 at an average price of €16.84 per share, totaling €3,892,522, according to a company statement.
The transactions are part of UMG's €500 million share buyback program announced on March 30. As of April 2, the company has repurchased a total of 231,142 shares under the program for €3,892,522.
The Netherlands-based music company publishes weekly updates on the progress of its share buyback program on its investor relations website. The repurchases were conducted in accordance with European Union market abuse regulations and disclosure requirements.
Universal Music Group describes itself as the world leader in music-based entertainment, with operations spanning recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content.
