Universal Music Group repurchases 2.8 million shares for €58.1 million
Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) repurchased 2,839,303 of its own shares during the week of May 18-22, 2026, at an average price of €20.46 per share for a total consideration of €58,100,812.
The repurchases were conducted as part of the company's €500 million share buyback program announced on March 30, 2026. Since the program's inception through May 22, 2026, Universal Music Group has repurchased a total of 6,663,769 shares for €132,895,606.
The music company publishes weekly updates on the share buyback program's progress on its investor relations website. The announcement was made in compliance with European Union market abuse regulations and disclosure requirements.
