Universal Music Group repurchases €18.6 million of shares in latest week
Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) repurchased 920,787 of its own shares during the week of April 13-17, 2026, at an average price of €20.22 per share for a total consideration of €18,622,568.
The repurchases are part of the company's €500 million share buyback program announced on March 30, 2026. Since the program's inception through April 17, 2026, Universal Music Group has repurchased a total of 1,551,929 shares for €30,272,560.
The music company publishes weekly updates on the progress of its share buyback program on its investor relations website. The transactions were disclosed in accordance with European Union market abuse regulations and related delegated regulations.
Universal Music Group is based in Hilversum, The Netherlands, and trades on Euronext Amsterdam under the ticker UMG.
