Universal Music Group repurchases €126.4 million in shares during latest week
Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) repurchased 7,024,990 of its own shares between June 8 and June 12, 2026, at an average price of €18.00 per share for a total consideration of €126,449,716.
The transactions are part of the company's €500 million share buyback program announced on March 30, 2026. As of June 12, 2026, Universal Music Group has repurchased a total of 17,332,139 shares under the program for €327,850,934.
The music company publishes weekly updates on the progress of its share buyback program on its investor relations website, according to the press release statement.
The announcement was made in connection with disclosure and reporting obligations under Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052.
