Universal Music Group buys back 117,992 shares for €2.1 million
Universal Music Group N.V. (EURONEXT: UMG) repurchased 117,992 of its own shares between April 27 and April 30, 2026, at an average price of €17.96 per share for a total consideration of €2,118,775, according to a company statement.
The transactions are part of UMG's €500 million share buyback program announced on March 30, 2026. As of April 30, 2026, the company has repurchased a total of 1,969,438 shares under the program for €38,447,170.
The music company publishes weekly updates on the progress of its share buyback program on its investor relations website. The repurchases are made in compliance with European Union regulations on market abuse and share buyback disclosure requirements.
Universal Music Group is based in Hilversum, The Netherlands, and operates businesses in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content.
