November 13, 2025 8:01 AM EST

Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE: UBER) announced the launch of Uber Ski, a seasonal ride reservation service that accommodates up to four passengers with ski equipment. The service operates through the end of March in ski destinations across the United States, France, Switzerland and Canada.

The company partnered with Vail Resorts Inc. (NYSE: MTN) to integrate Epic Pass purchases directly into the Uber app. Users can reserve rides up to 90 days in advance and simultaneously purchase ski passes through the platform.

Uber Ski offers two vehicle options: UberXL for up to two guests with equipment and UberXXL for up to four guests with gear. The service operates as part of Uber Reserve, allowing advance bookings for winter transportation needs.

The partnership enables users to purchase Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass access to Vail Resorts properties including Vail Mountain and Breckenridge in Colorado, Park City Mountain in Utah, Heavenly in California, Stowe in Vermont, Whistler Blackcomb in Canada, and Crans Montana Mountain Resort in Switzerland.

"We are thrilled to offer skiers and snowboarders alike a convenient and reliable way to get to the mountain this season," said Adib Roumani, Director of Engineering at Uber.

Epic Passes remain available for purchase through December, after which lift tickets to Vail Resorts mountains can be booked through the Uber Ski feature. The service began operating today according to the company's press release.
