USA Rare Earth Inc. (NASDAQ: USAR) announced that its subsidiary Less Common Metals signed a supply agreement with Arnold Magnetic Technologies Corporation, a subsidiary of Compass Diversified (NYSE: CODI).
The agreement involves LCM providing rare earth materials to Arnold for manufacturing permanent magnets. The materials will serve as an alternative to China-sourced supplies for sectors including aerospace, defense, automotive, and energy.
USA Rare Earth completed its acquisition of LCM in November 2025. The subsidiary will continue serving its existing customer base while supplying alloy feedstock to USA Rare Earth's magnet manufacturing facility in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
The Stillwater facility remains scheduled for commissioning in the first quarter of 2026, according to the company's statement.
"This collaboration exemplifies the type of industrial partnerships that are rebuilding strength and resilience across the rare-earth ecosystem outside of China," said Barbara Humpton, chief executive officer of USA Rare Earth.
USA Rare Earth is developing rare earth magnet manufacturing capabilities in Oklahoma and plans to establish domestic supply chains for rare earth and critical minerals. The company intends to supply its own manufacturing operations and sell surplus materials to third parties.
