Twin Hospitality Group appoints Andrew Wiederhorn as chairman

Twin Hospitality Group Inc. (NASDAQ: TWNP) appointed Andrew Wiederhorn as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

Twin Hospitality Group operates the Twin Peaks and Smokey Bones restaurant brands. The company was spun out from FAT Brands Inc. (NASDAQ: FAT) earlier this year as a separate entity.

Wiederhorn founded FAT Brands and has served as its Chairman of the Board since 2023. He participated in the spin-out transaction that created Twin Hospitality Group as an independent company.

"I am honored to serve as Chairman of Twin Hospitality Group during such an exciting time in the Company's journey," Wiederhorn said in the statement. "The leadership team is executing with discipline by streamlining operations, enhancing the guest experience, and positioning the business for sustained growth."

Twin Hospitality Group describes itself as a restaurant company that develops and operates casual dining restaurant concepts. The company trades on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol TWNP.
