Trupanion adds former Expeditors CFO Bradley Powell to board

Trupanion Inc. (NASDAQ: TRUP) announced the appointment of Bradley Powell to its board of directors. Powell previously served as chief financial officer at Expeditors International of Washington Inc. (NYSE: EXPD) from October 2008 to September 2025.



Powell brings experience from his tenure at Expeditors, a global logistics company, where he held the CFO position for 17 years. Before joining Expeditors, he served as CFO of Eden Bioscience Corporation from July 1998 to September 2008, leading the biotechnology company through its initial public offering in 2000. Powell holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Central Washington University.



"His long tenure as CFO of Expeditors, a company with a fantastic long-term track record, gives him a deep understanding of financial discipline, strategic growth, and shareholder value creation," said Margi Tooth, CEO and president of Trupanion.



Powell stated his intention to contribute to the company's mission. "At Trupanion, that strong record of growth reflects both the clarity of the company's mission and the commitment of its team," he said.



Seattle-based Trupanion provides medical insurance for cats and dogs in the United States, Canada, and certain European countries, with more than 1 million pets enrolled. The company was founded in 2000 and trades on NASDAQ under the symbol TRUP.
