Truepic announced the appointment of Kerry Whorton Cooper to its board of advisors. Cooper brings over two decades of executive leadership and board experience across consumer, eCommerce, retail, and energy sectors.

Cooper currently serves as board chair at PG&E Corporation (NYSE: PCG) and Mozilla Corporation, and as lead independent director of Upstart (NASDAQ: UPST), an AI lending platform. She also works as a venture advisor for Acrew Capital and serves as an executive mentor with the ExCo Group.

Her previous executive roles include President and COO at Rothy's, CEO at Choose Energy, COO and CMO at ModCloth, CMO and Vice President of Global eCommerce at Walmart.com, and SVP of Retail and Planning at Levi Strauss. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

"Her expertise will be instrumental as we deploy Truepic's image and data authenticity technology to help the retail and manufacturing sectors prevent visual fraud, reduce risk, and operate with greater certainty in the AI era," said Jeffrey McGregor, CEO of Truepic.

Cooper stated that companies are experiencing increased visual fraud that affects margins, safety, and customer trust. She said Truepic's technology provides verification for processes that have traditionally relied on assumptions.

Truepic describes itself as a provider of visual risk intelligence technology, with its Truepic Vision platform designed to authenticate images and data to prevent fraud. The company's platform includes the Truepic Risk Network, which alerts users to suspicious activity across the financial sector.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
