Trigon Metals adds Noureddine Mokaddem to board of directors
Trigon Metals Inc. (TSX-V: TM; OTCPK: PNZTF) announced the appointment of Noureddine Mokaddem to its board of directors, effective immediately. The appointment requires approval from the TSX Venture Exchange.
Mokaddem brings 42 years of experience in mining industry leadership roles across companies in Africa, Europe and North America. He currently serves on the boards of LSL Pharma Group and Abcourt Mines Inc. From 2010 to 2020, he served as founder, president, chief executive officer and chairman of Maya Gold & Silver Inc., now known as Aya Gold & Silver.
The appointment comes as Toronto-based Trigon focuses on its Moroccan exploration portfolio, including the Addana project. Executive Chairman and CEO Jed Richardson stated that Mokaddem's understanding of the mining sector and connections in Morocco will support exploration at Addana.
Mokaddem noted his longstanding relationship with Richardson, saying he was pleased to support development of the Addana project, which he described as a historic artisanal mining area.
Trigon Metals is a Canadian exploration and development company focused on copper and silver holdings in African jurisdictions. The company holds the Kalahari Copperbelt Project in Namibia and two exploration projects in Morocco: Addana, which hosts silver-bearing veins, and Silver Hill, a sedimentary copper prospect.
