Tempus partners with Whitehawk Therapeutics for cancer research

Tempus AI Inc. (NASDAQ: TEM) announced a multi-year collaboration with Whitehawk Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: WHWK) to support biomarker-driven oncology research using Tempus' real-world dataset.

Under the agreement, Whitehawk Therapeutics will use Tempus' de-identified multimodal database to support clinical trial designs and identify patient populations with unmet medical needs. The collaboration will focus on Whitehawk's antibody drug conjugate portfolio, which includes three assets targeting proteins PTK7, MUC16 and SEZ6 in lung and gynecological cancers.

"Tempus' comprehensive, multimodal data, paired with Whitehawk's ADC drug development expertise, create a powerful foundation to validate the potential of their portfolio in a promising class of targeted cancer therapeutics," said Ryan Fukushima, Chief Operating Officer at Tempus.

Dave Lennon, President and CEO of Whitehawk Therapeutics, said the partnership aims to better understand protein target expression to inform clinical development programs. "An important aspect of this partnership will be continuing to establish the concordance between RNA and IHC expression of our targets," Lennon stated.

Tempus operates an AI platform for precision medicine with multimodal data libraries. Whitehawk Therapeutics develops antibody drug conjugates for cancer treatment, applying technologies to established tumor biology.

The collaboration will support indication prioritization for Whitehawk's clinical development programs and explore RNA testing as an alternative to immunohistochemistry methods for patient identification, according to the company statement.
