Stallion Uranium begins winter drilling at Moonlite, names Santos CFO
Stallion Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: STUD; OTCQB: STLNF; FSE: B76) announced the start of mobilization for its winter drilling program at the Moonlite Property in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin and appointed Paulo Santos as chief financial officer.
The company has engaged Base Drilling Ltd. as the drilling contractor for the program, which will focus on the Coyote Target. Mobilization activities include trail construction, equipment staging, and camp preparations, with drilling expected to commence shortly.
The Coyote Target was selected based on geological interpretation and geophysical data indicating potential for basement-hosted uranium mineralization. Base Drilling was chosen for its experience in Athabasca Basin uranium exploration and winter drilling programs in northern Saskatchewan.
"The Coyote Target stands out as one of our highest-priority prospects in the world-renowned Athabasca Basin," said Matthew Schwab, CEO of Stallion Uranium. "This drilling program represents a pivotal milestone, propelling us closer to unlocking a significant uranium discovery."
Santos, a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia, brings experience from senior financial roles in the mining industry. He previously served as CFO for Elevation Gold Mining Corporation and Interim CFO for Calibre Mining Corp., among other positions. He currently serves as CFO for StrikePoint Gold Inc.
Santos replaces Dong Shim, who served as CFO since 2020. The company thanked Shim for his contributions to corporate development, financial reporting, and operational growth during his tenure.
Stallion Uranium holds exploration rights to approximately 1,700 square kilometers in the Athabasca Basin through a joint venture with Atha Energy. CEO Schwab will present at the Emerging Growth Conference on January 21, 2026, and the company will attend the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference on January 25-26, 2026.
