Sopra Steria appoints Rajesh Krishnamurthy as chief executive officer

Sopra Steria (Euronext Paris: SOP) announced that its board of directors has appointed Rajesh Krishnamurthy as the company's new chief executive officer, effective February 2, 2026.

The appointment follows a selection process recommended by the company's Nomination, Governance, Ethics & Corporate Responsibility Committee. Krishnamurthy, a French national of Indian origin, brings three decades of international experience in technology and consulting across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Krishnamurthy spent 25 years at Infosys (NSE, BSE, NYSE: INFY), joining when the company had fewer than 200 employees in 1992. In his final role there, he served as President of Europe, Chairman of the Infosys Consulting division and Global Head of the Energy, Utilities and Telecom business. He later joined CMA CGM in 2018 as Executive Director responsible for IT systems and digital initiatives.

Since July 2020, Krishnamurthy has served as chief executive officer of Expleo. According to the press release, under his leadership the company increased revenue by more than 50 percent and doubled its operating profitability while strengthening its European presence.

"It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Rajesh Krishnamurthy as Chief Executive Officer," said Pierre Pasquier, who chaired the board meeting that approved the appointment.

Sopra Steria operates as a technology services company in Europe with 50,000 employees across nearly 30 countries. The company generated revenue of €5.8 billion in 2024, according to the announcement.
