Soleno Therapeutics adds Mark Hahn to board of directors

Soleno Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: SLNO) appointed Mark W. Hahn as an independent director to its board of directors and as a member of its audit committee, according to a company statement. The addition brings the board to seven seats.

Hahn brings nearly 30 years of chief financial officer experience in the biopharmaceutical sector. He previously served as CFO of Verona Pharma PLC from March 2020 until its acquisition by Merck & Co. Inc. for approximately $10 billion in October 2025. He also served as CFO of Dova Pharmaceuticals from January 2018 until its acquisition by Swedish Orphan Biovitrum for up to $915 million in November 2019.

From 2010 to 2017, Hahn was CFO of Cempra Inc., where he led the company's initial public offering and subsequent follow-on offerings before its acquisition by Melinta Therapeutics. He began his career at Ernst & Young and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

"With his broad and diverse financial leadership experience, including as CFO of commercial-stage companies developing therapeutics for rare and serious diseases, I believe Mark's background perfectly aligns with our current needs," said Dr. Anish Bhatnagar, CEO and Chairman of Soleno Therapeutics.

Soleno Therapeutics develops treatments for rare diseases. The company's product VYKAT XR received FDA approval on March 26, 2025, for treating hyperphagia in adults and pediatric patients 4 years and older with Prader-Willi syndrome.

Hahn currently serves as a board member and audit committee chair for Opterion Health AG. He is a certified public accountant in Maryland and North Carolina.
