Sodexo SA announced the appointment of Thierry Delaporte as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 10, 2025. The French food services company also separated the CEO role from the board chair position as part of a governance restructuring.

Sophie Bellon, who has served as both CEO and board chair for four years, will transition to non-executive chairwoman. Bellon will retain the board chair role for the duration of her mandate and oversee the transition with Delaporte.

The board selected Delaporte following a process coordinated with the Bellon family, which founded the company. Gilles Pélisson will succeed Luc Messier as Lead Independent Director, also effective November 10.

Delaporte brings international leadership experience across multiple regions. He previously served as CEO of Wipro Ltd., a global IT services company, from 2020 to 2024. Before that, he held various roles at Capgemini for 25 years, including Global COO and Deputy CEO from 2018 to 2020.

At Capgemini, Delaporte served as CEO of the Global Outsourcing division and CEO of the Financial Services Global Business Unit, where he managed the integration of iGate. He started his career at Arthur Andersen before joining Capgemini in 1995.

Delaporte currently serves on the board of Saint-Gobain and co-founded Life Project 4 Youth, an organization focused on youth inclusion. He holds degrees from Sciences Po Paris and in Law.

Sodexo operates in 45 countries with 423,000 employees as of August 31, 2024. The company reported consolidated revenues of 23.8 billion euros for fiscal 2024 and serves 80 million consumers daily.

The information is based on a company press release statement. Sodexo is listed on Euronext Paris and is included in the CAC Next 20 index.
