Siyata Mobile to provide communications gear for Burning Man 2025

August 25, 2025 7:00 AM EDT

Siyata Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: SYTA) will deploy its SD7 handsets at Burning Man 2025 to support critical communications during the event, which runs from August 24 to September 1 in Nevada's Black Rock Desert.

The company partnered with ESChat to provide push-to-talk communication services for event personnel coordinating logistics between San Francisco, Reno, and the event site. The handsets will be used by teams managing operations during the nine-day gathering that creates a temporary city for tens of thousands of participants.

"Burning Man is a one-of-a-kind event that presents extraordinary logistical and environmental challenges," said Marc Seelenfreund, CEO of Siyata. "We are proud that our SD7 handsets, in partnership with ESChat, will help ensure the safety and coordination of guests and on-site teams in such a dynamic setting."

The deployment takes place in an environment with no fixed infrastructure and often extreme weather conditions. Siyata's devices are designed for rugged reliability and are used by first responders and emergency crews across North America.

Josh Lober, President of ESChat, said the partnership demonstrates "the value of combining rugged hardware with proven software to meet the demands of real-world mission-critical operations."

ESChat operates as a FedRAMP authorized mission-critical broadband push-to-talk service that is FirstNet certified and approved by the Defense Information Systems Agency for U.S. military operational use.

Siyata Mobile develops push-to-talk over cellular handsets and accessories for first responders and enterprise workers. The Vancouver-based company sells its products through North American cellular carriers and international distributors.
