SiriusXM adds Airbnb executive Dave Stephenson to board

Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced the appointment of Dave Stephenson as an independent director to its board of directors, effective September 18. Stephenson will serve on the board's compensation committee.
Stephenson currently serves as Chief Business Officer and Head of Employee Experience at Airbnb Inc. (NASDAQ: ABNB), where he oversees global business growth and human resources functions. He previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Airbnb and was involved in the company's initial public offering.
Before joining Airbnb, Stephenson spent 17 years at Amazon, where he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Worldwide Consumer Organization. His Amazon experience included finance leadership roles across Amazon Web Services, North America Retail, and Merchant Services. He also serves on the board of Lyft Inc.
"Dave's business acumen and people-first mindset make him a fantastic addition to the Board as we continue SiriusXM's transformation journey," said Jennifer Witz, Chief Executive Officer of SiriusXM.
Stephenson holds an MBA from the University of Iowa and a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Montana State University.
SiriusXM describes itself as the leading audio entertainment company in North America, reaching approximately 160 million monthly listeners through its subscription entertainment service, Pandora music streaming, and podcast network.
