Serve Robotics Inc. (NASDAQ: SERV) announced the launch of its autonomous sidewalk delivery service in Alexandria, Virginia, in partnership with Uber Eats. The service will operate in North East Alexandria, Del Rey, Potomac West, Old Town North, and nearby neighborhoods.
The company worked with the City of Alexandria and local stakeholders to deploy the robotic delivery service. Residents and businesses can now receive orders through Serve's autonomous robots via the Uber Eats platform.
"Delivering our autonomous service in Alexandria is a landmark step toward enabling scalable, sustainable last-mile logistics in historically rich, pedestrian-oriented cities," said Ali Kashani, CEO and co-founder of Serve Robotics.
Over the past 12 months, Serve Robotics has launched operations in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Atlanta. The company plans to continue announcing market launches across the United States throughout 2026.
Aaron Emrich, Global Head of Autonomous Delivery at Uber, said the partnership extends Uber Eats' collaboration with Serve Robotics into Alexandria, enabling consumers to experience robot-powered delivery.
Serve Robotics plans to expand into additional neighborhoods throughout the Alexandria area in the coming months. The company, which spun off from Uber in 2021, has completed over 100,000 deliveries for enterprise partners including Uber Eats and 7-Eleven. The company has signed agreements to deploy up to 2,000 delivery robots across multiple U.S. markets.
