Sangoma partners with Quicklert to help schools meet safety requirements
Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSX: STC; NASDAQ: SANG) announced a strategic partnership with Quicklert to provide integrated safety and communications solutions for schools and other sectors including healthcare, government, hospitality, and retail.
The partnership targets schools seeking to comply with Alyssa's Law, which mandates that public elementary and secondary school buildings install silent panic alarms that directly notify law enforcement during emergencies. The joint solution integrates voice, video, and emergency response technologies into a unified platform.
"We are committed to helping schools build safe, smart campuses where students and educators feel secure," said Charles Salameh, CEO of Sangoma. "By partnering with Quicklert, we're combining best-in-class communications with proactive emergency alerting."
The solution unifies public address systems, bells, intercoms, clocks, video surveillance, panic buttons, front office consoles, access control, IP communications, and emergency alerting into a single platform powered by both companies' technologies.
Two school districts have implemented the solution. Dowling Catholic High School in Iowa replaced its PA, intercom, clock and bell systems with video intercoms, live video broadcast capabilities, AI-based video surveillance, and emergency help functions connected through Sangoma's communication solution.
Great Hearts Schools of Texas adopted the system to comply with Texas 911 laws requiring location information for first responders. The integrated solution provides instant, silent alerts with location information across 14 campuses, all connected to Sangoma's UCaaS Solution. The system was installed and operational within an hour.
"Our mission has always been to deliver a single, intelligent platform that makes schools safer and communications simpler," said Alok Jain, CEO and Founder of Quicklert.
The partnership will be distributed to school districts across North America through Sangoma's partner network and Quicklert's education safety programs, according to the company announcement.
