STAAR postpones stockholder meeting on Alcon merger to November

STAAR Surgical Company (NASDAQ: STAA) and Alcon (SIX/NYSE: ALC) announced the adjournment of STAAR's Special Meeting of Stockholders scheduled for October 23, 2025, to November 6, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time.
The meeting relates to STAAR's merger agreement with Alcon. The record date for stockholders eligible to vote remains the close of business on September 12, 2025. No other business will be conducted at the Special Meeting.

STAAR filed its definitive proxy statement on Schedule 14A with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 16, 2025, which was first sent to stockholders the same day.
STAAR Surgical manufactures the Implantable Collamer Lens for vision correction and is headquartered in Lake Forest, California. Alcon, based in Geneva, operates as a global eye care company with operations in over 140 countries.
