STAAR Surgical postpones shareholder vote on Alcon merger to December

STAAR Surgical Company (NASDAQ: STAA) postponed its special meeting of stockholders regarding the merger agreement with Alcon (SIX/NYSE: ALC) to December 3, 2025, citing ongoing discussions with Alcon.
The meeting was previously scheduled for November 6, 2025. The new record date for the special meeting is October 24, 2025, with stockholders holding shares as of that date eligible to vote at the postponed meeting.
The Lake Forest, California-based company manufactures the Implantable Collamer Lens for vision correction. STAAR will provide meeting notices and other materials to eligible stockholders before the December meeting date.
