Ryman Hospitality appoints Eric Bolton to board of directors

Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. (NYSE: RHP) announced that Eric Bolton has been appointed to its board of directors, effective immediately. The appointment increases the board size from nine to ten directors.



Bolton served as chief executive officer of Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. (NYSE: MAA) from October 2001 to March 31, 2025, and has been executive chairman of MAA's board since April 2025. He has held the chairman position at MAA since September 2002.



"His disciplined approach to scaling MAA and his proven track record for navigating challenging economic cycles align closely with our management philosophy," said Colin Reed, executive chairman of Ryman Hospitality Properties, according to the company's statement.



Bolton holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis and an MBA from the University of North Texas. He currently serves on the board of directors of EastGroup Properties (NYSE: EGP) and is a member of the Advisory Board of Governors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.



Ryman Hospitality Properties operates as a lodging and hospitality real estate investment trust that specializes in upscale convention center resorts. The company's portfolio includes five Gaylord Hotels properties and owns approximately 70% of Opry Entertainment Group, which operates the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium.
