Realtor.com names Janakiraman Karthikeyan as chief technology officer

Realtor.com appointed Janakiraman Karthikeyan as its new chief technology officer, the company announced. Karthikeyan will lead the real estate platform's technology vision and strategy.
Karthikeyan brings more than 20 years of experience in digital transformations across e-commerce, healthcare, and finance sectors. He most recently served as vice president of technology at Chewy (NYSE: CHWY).
"Technology is at the heart of our mission to be the best open real estate marketplace," said Damian Eales, chief executive officer of Realtor.com. "Janakiraman's leadership will help us accelerate innovation, strengthen our platform, and deliver even more value to consumers and our industry partners."
Karthikeyan said he has focused throughout his career on building scalable platforms and using artificial intelligence and machine learning to create customer experiences. He will be based at the company's Austin, Texas headquarters.
The new CTO holds a master's degree in computer application from SSN School of Management and a bachelor's degree in commerce from University of Madras.
