Ramaco Resources Inc. (NASDAQ: METC, METCB) announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Randall W. Atkins exercised stock options on February 26, 2026, acquiring 177,187 Class A shares and 54,429 Class B shares after tax provisions.

The options were originally received in connection with Ramaco Resources' initial public offering in 2017. Atkins held the options for over nine years before exercising them.

"After holding a generous number of options for over 9 years I have now chosen to both exercise these options and convert them into shares of Ramaco stock, which I currently feel are trading at an undervalued level," Atkins stated in the press release.

Ramaco Resources operates as a dual platform critical mineral company focused on metallurgical coal operations in Central Appalachia and developing coal, rare earth elements and critical minerals production in Wyoming. The company maintains four active metallurgical coal mining complexes in Central Appalachia and one coal mine with rare earth development near Sheridan, Wyoming.

In 2023, the company reported discovering a deposit of primary magnetic rare earths and critical minerals at its Wyoming mine site. The company also operates a carbon research and pilot facility adjacent to the Wyoming mine for developing advanced carbon products derived from coal.

Ramaco Resources holds more than 70 intellectual property patents, pending applications, exclusive licensing agreements and trademarks related to its operations. The company's executive offices are located in Lexington, Kentucky, with operational offices in Charleston, West Virginia and Sheridan, Wyoming.
