January 8, 2026 4:30 PM EST

Quanterix Corporation (NASDAQ: QTRX) announced that its board has appointed Everett Cunningham as president and chief executive officer, effective January 19, 2026.

Cunningham will succeed Masoud Toloue, who will continue as CEO until the transition date. Toloue will remain available in an advisory capacity following the leadership change. Executive Chair Bill Donnelly will return to his prior role as non-executive chair when Cunningham assumes his position.

Since June 2024, Cunningham has served as chief commercial officer at Illumina (NASDAQ: ILMN), where he oversaw global commercial strategy. Previously, he held the same role at Exact Sciences (NASDAQ: EXAS) from 2021 to 2024, leading marketing, sales, and customer service functions. Earlier positions included president and CEO of GE Healthcare's U.S. and Canada region and senior vice president of commercial operations at Quest Diagnostics (NYSE: DGX).

The appointment follows a comprehensive search process conducted with an executive search firm as part of the board's succession planning efforts.

In connection with his appointment, Cunningham will receive equity awards consisting of restricted stock units covering 1,070,000 shares with time-based vesting and 813,750 shares with performance-based vesting tied to stock price targets of $10, $15, and $20 per share over specified timeframes.

The company also stated it expects to exceed its revenue and cash guidance for full year 2025, though these results are preliminary and unaudited.

Quanterix develops biomarker detection technology and acquired Akoya Biosciences in 2025, adding tissue imaging capabilities to its portfolio.
