Quanterix Corporation (NASDAQ: QTRX) announced board changes including the appointment of Garret Hampton and Alan Sachs as directors, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

The biomarker detection company also appointed William Donnelly as executive chair, expanding his role from non-executive chair, and named Jeffrey Elliott as lead independent director.

Hampton previously served as president of clinical next generation sequencing and oncology at Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading an 800-person division focused on oncology diagnostics from 2020 to 2024. He holds more than 35 years of experience in life sciences, diagnostics, and oncology.

As executive chair, Donnelly will work with the leadership team on strategic and operational matters while CEO Masoud Toloue continues advancing key initiatives including expanding biomarker offerings and launching LucentAD Complete for Alzheimer's diagnosis.

Paul Meister and David Walt stepped down from the board, effective immediately, after years of service. The changes bring the board to nine members, seven of whom are independent.

Donnelly has more than 30 years of leadership experience in life sciences and industrial technology sectors, spending most of his career at Mettler-Toledo International. Elliott brings more than 20 years of experience in diagnostics and life sciences, previously serving as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Exact Sciences Corporation.
