December 23, 2025 7:02 AM EST

Embraer (NYSE: EMBR) delivered the 50th E195-E2 aircraft to Porter Airlines, according to a press release statement. The delivery represents a milestone in Porter's fleet expansion since receiving its first E2 jet in December 2022.

Porter has firm orders for 75 aircraft with purchase rights for an additional 25, potentially bringing its fleet to 100 E2s. The airline operates routes across Canada, the United States, Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.

The carrier launched 13 new routes to five destinations this season: Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Nassau, Grand Cayman, and Liberia, Costa Rica, departing from Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Hamilton airports.

"Since Porter's founding in 2006, we have consistently focused on raising the bar for our passengers by proving that economy flying can and should be pleasurable for everyone," said Michael Deluce, President and CEO of Porter Airlines. "The E2's introduction into our fleet is allowing us to turbocharge these efforts as the fastest growing airline in North America over the last three years."

The E195-E2 delivers up to 29% lower fuel burn compared to first-generation E-Jets and has a range of 3,000 nautical miles. The aircraft features no middle seats, onboard Wi-Fi and seatback power.

Porter operates a fleet of Embraer E195-E2 and De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft. The Toronto-based airline holds a 4 Star Airline rating in the World Airline Star Rating system.
