Pinnacle Financial Partners (NASDAQ: PNFP) and Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE: SNV) announced the executive leadership team for their combined company, with Synovus CEO Kevin Blair set to lead the merged entity expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.

The leadership team will include Rob McCabe as Chief Banking Officer, Jamie Gregory as Chief Financial Officer, and Zack Bishop as Chief Operating Officer, among other executives. McCabe will oversee revenue-producing units and previously announced geographic leaders.

Upon closing, Pinnacle President and CEO Terry Turner will become non-executive chairman of the board, while McCabe will serve as vice chairman. The combined company will operate under the Pinnacle brand.

The merger brings together Pinnacle's approximately $54.8 billion in assets as of June 30, 2025, with Synovus' approximately $61 billion in assets. Pinnacle operates as the second-largest bank holding company headquartered in Tennessee, while Columbus, Georgia-based Synovus has 244 branches across five southeastern states.

Both companies have established Integration Management Office teams to coordinate the merger process. Jennifer Upshaw and Rick Arthur will lead integration efforts for Synovus and Pinnacle, respectively.

The transaction requires regulatory approvals, shareholder approval from both companies, and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
