Patriot Battery Metals to change name to PMET Resources
Patriot Battery Metals Inc. (TSX: PMET) (ASX: PMT) (OTCQX: PMETF) (FSE: R9GA) announced it will change its name to PMET Resources Inc. in English and Ressources PMET Inc. in French.
The company will retain its existing trading symbols "PMET" on the Toronto Stock Exchange and "PMT" on the Australian Securities Exchange. The name change will take effect at the start of trading on September 18, 2025, subject to final approval by the Toronto Stock Exchange, with the ASX expected to implement the change on September 19, 2025.
New CUSIP and ISIN numbers assigned to the company's common shares are 73015G104 and CA73015G1046, respectively. No share consolidation will occur, and shareholders do not need to exchange existing certificates for new ones bearing the new company name.
The company said the rebranding reflects its evolution as a diversified critical minerals company focused on the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project in Canada. The company's tagline will change from "North America's lithium powerhouse" to "North America's critical-mineral powerhouse."
"The evolution of Patriot into PMET comes at the right time for our company and the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project," said Ken Brinsden, president, CEO and managing director. "Our new logo, a three faced crystal, is representative of a mineral, with the three faces each representing the LCT components of our pegmatites: lithium, caesium and tantalum."
The company operates the Shaakichiuwaanaan Property in Quebec's Eeyou Istchee James Bay region. The project hosts mineral resources including 108.0 Mt at 1.40% Li₂O indicated and 33.4 Mt at 1.33% Li₂O inferred, along with caesium, tantalum and gallium resources.
