Paranovus receives nasdaq bid deficiency notice for share price
Paranovus Entertainment Technology Limited (NASDAQ: PAVS) received a notification letter from Nasdaq on July 11 stating that its Class A ordinary shares have traded below $1.00 for 30 consecutive business days, violating minimum bid price requirements under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2).
The notification does not immediately affect the company's listing status. Under Nasdaq rules, Paranovus has until January 7, 2026 to regain compliance by maintaining a closing bid price of at least $1.00 for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days.
If the company fails to meet this requirement during the 180-day period, it may qualify for an additional 180 calendar days provided it meets other continued listing requirements for market value of publicly held shares and all initial listing standards except the minimum bid price rule. The company would need to provide written notice of its intention to cure the deficiency during the second compliance period, potentially through a reverse stock split.
Paranovus focuses on developing AI-powered entertainment products, including games and applications, as well as TikTok-related e-commerce solutions through its subsidiary. In March 2025, the company acquired controlling equity interests in Bomie Wookoo Inc., a New York-based e-commerce solutions provider.
The company has undergone strategic transformation, exiting its legacy businesses including e-commerce, internet information, and advertising operations in September 2023, and ceasing its automobile sales business in July 2024.
