Oncology Institute names Anne McGeorge as new board chairman

The Oncology Institute Inc. (NASDAQ: TOI) announced that Anne McGeorge will become chairman of the board, succeeding Richard Barasch who retired from the position effective August 12, 2025.



McGeorge currently serves as a board member and chair of the audit committee at the oncology services company. She has been on The Oncology Institute's board since 2021.



The new chairman brings over 35 years of experience as an operational and financial advisor to healthcare organizations. Before retiring in 2017, she helped launch Grant Thornton LLP's Global Health Care and Life Sciences Practice and served as managing partner for 10 years, growing it into a $250 million global business. She previously worked as a partner at Deloitte and Arthur Andersen.



McGeorge currently serves on the boards of Dianthus Therapeutics (NASDAQ: DNTH), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, and several privately held healthcare companies including Nimbus Therapeutics and CitiusTech. She holds a master's degree in accounting from the University of Virginia.

CEO Daniel Virnich said McGeorge's strategic guidance, healthcare knowledge and financial experience have benefited the company since she joined the board.



The Oncology Institute operates over 100 clinics and affiliate locations across five states, serving approximately 1.9 million patients. The company went public under Barasch's leadership as chairman.
