Omnicom receives Australia antitrust clearance for Interpublic deal

Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC) and Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. (NYSE: IPG) announced July 17 that the Australia Competition and Consumer Commission has granted clearance for Omnicom's pending acquisition of Interpublic.
The ACCC approval brings the total number of antitrust approvals to 14 out of the 18 required for closing, according to the companies' joint statement. The companies said they remain on track to complete the transaction in the second half of 2025.
The announcement provides an update on the regulatory approval process for the proposed merger between the two advertising and marketing services companies.
