NextPlat subsidiary signs IoT distribution deal with Telit Cinterion

NextPlat Corp (NASDAQ: NXPL) announced that its Global Telesat Communications subsidiary has entered into a distribution agreement with Telit Cinterion to expand its Internet of Things product portfolio with 5G and artificial intelligence-powered solutions.
The agreement allows Global Telesat Communications to add advanced 5G connectivity to its existing satellite and terrestrial connectivity services. The company plans to target industrial and enterprise IoT sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, transport, logistics, energy and utilities across more than 150 countries where it operates.
Telit Cinterion provides IoT connectivity solutions and device management services globally. The partnership will combine Global Telesat's satellite-enabled connectivity services with Telit Cinterion's 5G and edge computing technologies.
"Today's agreement with Telit Cinterion represents a great opportunity for GTC to further participate in the rapid growth and adoption of IoT alongside one of the innovators in advanced device management and connectivity solutions," said David Phipps, CEO of NextPlat and Managing Director of Global Telesat Communications.
Martin Krona, President Services and Solutions at Telit Cinterion, stated that the partnership will provide customers with prepaid connectivity solutions backed by global infrastructure to simplify connectivity management and reduce operational risk.
According to Grand View Research data cited in the announcement, the global IoT market is valued at approximately $1.18 trillion and is projected to reach $2.65 trillion by 2030, representing an 11.4% compound annual growth rate.
NextPlat operates as a global consumer products and services company providing healthcare and technology solutions through e-commerce and retail channels. The company also operates pharmacy and healthcare data management services in the United States through its Progressive Care subsidiary.
