NanoXplore promotes Nima Moghimian to chief technology officer
NanoXplore Inc. (TSX: GRA, OTCQX: NNXPF) announced the promotion of Nima Moghimian to chief technology officer, according to a company press release.
Moghimian joined NanoXplore in 2015 as one of the company's initial scientists and was appointed head of corporate research and development in 2017. In his new role, he will continue overseeing technology-driven activities including product development, intellectual property, regulatory affairs, and product certification across the company's business units.
The Montreal-based graphene company said Moghimian has led the development of its proprietary graphene and advanced materials platforms. He currently oversees all research and development activities and has guided the company's intellectual property portfolio development.
Moghimian holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria, a Master of Science in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the University of Barcelona, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Since March 2024, he has served as a director on the board of PRIMA Québec.
"I'm thrilled by Nima's well-deserved promotion," said Rocco Marinaccio, chief executive officer of NanoXplore. "Nima has been instrumental in developing our fully patented Dry-Process Graphene, which will be a key driver of the company's growth."
NanoXplore manufactures graphene powder for transportation and industrial markets and produces graphene-enhanced plastic and composite products. The company also manufactures silicon-graphene-enhanced lithium-ion batteries for energy storage, defense and industrial applications.
